Division of responsibility
I noticed some Stephenville firefighters working on their ladder truck, and after taking this photo I went over to talk. Here’s how the conversation ensued:
Me: “I’ve got a question for you. Have you ever actually rescued a cat from a tree?”
Firefighter: “Never.”
Me: “Never? Not even once?”
Firefighter (with a wiseguy grin): “That’s what cops are for. We let them do it.”
