During the project, Carpenter Co. created a Sleep Better showroom in the historic Oxford House for Stephenville, TX residents try out pillows, mattress toppers and mattress pads.

Carpenter Co. was so inspired by the dream of Stephenville, TX to bring Big Brothers Big Sisters to town that it gave $15,000, but on the spot gave $10,000 more for a total of $25,000. Crissa Nugen, the president of Stephenville, TX Big Brothers Big Sisters, Mayor Nancy Hunter, Singer-songwriter Jewel, Dan Schecter, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Consumer Products Division Carpenter, Co. and Ed Malechek, Executive Vice President, Carpenter Co. hold the original check presented to the Big Brothers Big Sisters program by Carpenter Co.
