On September 22, 2013, SleepBetter will partner with JP Aerospace on a mission that will deliver five Pillows plus many, many pongsat experiments into near space, as part of our Pillow in Space program. Back on late August, we announced that the four existing Pillow Parents who sent in the highest number of quality postcards by September 10 would have the honor of being part of that mission. This kicked off the Pillow Parents Space Race, and even the space race between the United States and the former Soviet Union couldn’t compare to the effort our Pillow Parents put in to prove that their fluffy little friends had “The Right STUFFing”.
When everything was tallied, we were astonished to find that the competitors sent in more than 270 postcards to try to land those coveted spots! We were amazed by the dedication and effort to our Pillow in Space program. And, without further delay, here are our first four Pillownauts:
These four intrepid travelers will be, so far as we know, the first cute, fluffy pillow mascots to visit near space, and we’re proud of all of them.
Now, we mentioned earlier that there are FIVE spots available on the JP Aerospace balloons. The fifth spot will be filled by someone who is not currently a Pillow Parent. Visit our Pillow in Space page to find out how you can help us make history!
