New Implants to Treat Extreme Sleep Apnea

A new procedure takes new measures to put an end to the illusive problem of sleep apnea, especially for reoccurring and extreme cases.  The procedure involves a probe which is inserted into the tongue. Each time the probe sense that you are snoring it shocks you, to make you aware of the snoring so you can wake up and breath again. In addition there are also implants put into the lung so that the sleeper never stops breathing completely. Doctors are recommending these treatments ONLY for the most severe cases of sleep apnea.
