With the SleepBetter Betty White event of May 26, 2010 well in the past now, it may seem that The Bedtime Stories Project should be coming to an end. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The Betty White event was truly only the beginning of the The Project!
We are still accepting bedtime story submissions! In fact, they’ve been coming in fast and furious! Submissions received by June 30 will be eligible to be illustrated by internationally-known artist Bill Nelson. The author of the story we select after June 30 will receive a hand drawn and colored illustration, and the story and illustration will be added to our Sleepy Tales Book (see the link on the front page of SleepBetter.org to read it). Bill has illustrated covers for Time, Newsweek, Atlantic Monthly, The New Yorker, and even TV Guide.
If you don’t have an original bedtime story to submit, you can still enjoy The Bedtime Stories Project. Head over to read, rate, and comment on stories that have been submitted. And, each story has a link at the end to a print-friendly version, so you can print the stories out to read to your children!
