Falling asleep while driving has been a growing problem for some time now, and there have been many gadgets designed to remedy this problem, but a new one from Japan is novel to say the least. The company, Juki, has designed a device that goes over the driver’s side seat to help the driver to stay awake while behind the wheel. When the sheet senses that the driver is becoming tired it sounds a loud alarm throughout the car. But, how does this gadget know when the driver is tired? The product uses a sensor to read the drivers heart rate and determine whether or not they are on the brink of falling asleep. The driver is warned 10 minutes before the sheet predicts that they may fall asleep.
