The popularity of Facebook, Twitter, and accessibility of smartphones have made socializing and reaching out to one another easier than ever, but are they keeping sleep out of reach? More than half of the respondents in a recent study, commissioned by a U.K.-based Internet provider, admit to having ‘e-anxiety’. As a result, they’re staying up later because they fear that if they go to sleep they will miss an important incoming email or update.
The survey also found that one in four people are now spending more time online than they do asleep.
