We all know that exercise helps to provide an overall healthy lifestyle, but a recent study shows the exercise can help teenagers to get more restful sleep. Of the 15,000 high school students who were surveyed for this study, those who spent at least an hour exercising reported having a restful, full eight hours of sleep per night. On the flip sides, those teens who used a computer for recreational use for two plus hours per day were less likely to get the sufficient amount of sleep. This study, published in the American Journal of Preventative Medicine, shows how important it is for adolescents to resist the temptation of laziness and to get out and run around in the fresh air.
