This is the latest installment of a regular feature here at SleepBetter.org: Sleep Myth Monday, where we bust sleep myths wide open, or verify that they’re true.
Myth or Truth: A cool bedroom is best for a good night’s sleep.
TRUTH
The consensus is that a room temperature of 60-68 degrees Fahrenheit is best for sleeping. Any more than that, and you may be too hot. Any less than that, and your body may struggle too much to stay warm.
As we’re entering the hotter summer months, it may be tough to keep your room temperature lower, though. If so, try one of the new type of bedding products that stay cool all night long, which will help keep your body cool. For more information, go to our Recommended Sleep Products page and select the Iso•Cool product line.
